The Role:

We are looking for the first Designer to join our dynamic team at Mindgard, and define the future of AI security in close collaboration with our Head of Product and the wider Mindgard team. The role involves working across all the stages of product design, and creating brand and marketing assets. Since this is our first design hire, the initial work will be focused on user research, and translating user needs to design experiences that drive engagement.

What you will do

  • Own the design end-to-end by creating wireframes, prototypes, and high fidelity designs that communicate user interactions, and drive engagement.
  • Collaborate with the Product Management and Engineering team to gather and align on product requirements, and ensure seamless design implementation.
  • Drive the visual design of the user interaction, by developing a style guide or design system.
  • Participate in design reviews, ideation sessions, and critiques to provide and receive constructive feedback aimed at improving design solutions.
  • Actively contribute to a positive and creative work environment, sharing knowledge and expertise with team members and contributing to the overall success of the design team.
  • Occasionally develop concepts and designs for marketing materials such as company website, technical blogs, sales brochures, product videos, social media graphics, and email campaigns.

What you need:

  • Minimum 5 years experience as a Product Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in both software product design and brand design, preferably for a B2B SaaS technology product.
  • A self starter, bringing ideas to the table, advocating for the end user, and demonstrating ownership of the product and process.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Sketch, Microsoft Office Suite, and Notion.
  • A portfolio with work examples that include: 1) visual and interaction design skills 2) design thinking process 3) how your work impacted the business.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively articulate and present design ideas to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines without compromising quality.

Nice to have:

  • Occasionally develop concepts and designs for marketing materials such as company website, technical blogs, sales brochures, product videos, social media graphics, and email campaignsEducation in Human-Computer Interaction, Product Design, Interaction Design, Visual Communication, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience in brand designExperience with production knowledge in both print and web and strong attention to detail and an eye for consistency
  • Experience at B2B cybersecurity product company.
